I’m a visual artist and creative designer, born in Aleppo Syria, currently living in Dubai.
I graduated from the Graphics \ Printmaking department at the faculty of fine arts - University of Damascus in 2000.
The heart of my art is based on printmaking, and takes form of etching, lithography, block, installation, murals, video, paintings.
My passion stems from the element of surprise that comes along with the work.
For whatever I visualize the piece to be, the outcome always holds an unexpected element of surprise due to the different factors of ink, water, pressing and the texture of the material used such as copper, linoleum, wood, Monotype, etc.
It’s that unknown surprise that keeps me going back to this form of art, and the originality of its creation.
However I shape my work, the material- the copper, the ink, and the paper- interacts to create an entity; they have their own personality. We, this technic and I, are sharing the results with you, it’s a partnership.
